≪HowTo≫ コイン・ポイントって何？
Dior Les Rouges?collection is a limited edition collection of 3 red nail polishes, each one a tribute to the history of Dior. The polishes were available online and at Dior Beauty boutiques, and purchasing them was my first (but not the last) encounter with the Dior Beauty boutique located at The Palazzo hotel in Las Vegas.
L to R: Gruau G*, Trafalgar, Ic?ne. And ok, so I *may* have added the “peach” bit…
While on vacation this summer, I had visited the boutique, which is a small but well-stocked beauty section next to, but separate from, their Fashion & Accessories department. I browsed their attractively displayed cosmetics and the sales associates were friendly and helpful, but never pushy. They were knowledgeable about the products when I asked them questions and they joined me in my fawning and cooing over the cosmetics. (Bless them!)
So when it came time to getting ahold of this ultra-limited edition Les Rouges Vernis and knowing that they may become sold out too quickly on Dior.com (and they did), I phoned up the boutique for a charge-send order. They were speedy and helpful over the phone, provided free shipping over $50 purchase, and the packaged arrived in less than a week.
Opening the package felt like a little treat! The polishes were wrapped neatly and placed inside a shopping bag, complete with a ribbon. Gary, who assisted me in the phone order, had included a small handwritten note, which was a nice touch. Even though I had purchased the polishes myself and I knew what was inside the package, it felt like a surprise present!
Isn’t it nice to be treated like a real person/customer and not just a number on their balance sheet? I appreciate the personal touches and careful packaging, even though I’ve “only” purchased nail polishes (as opposed to a Lady Dior bag, for example.) I’m truly impressed with their customer service and highly recommend them to those in the US who’d like to purchase from Dior.

Gruau G* 837 (click for individual review)
Mid-tone brick red creme.??Darker than?Trafalgar?in the same collection, but not dark enough to be considered a vampy shade, it is a mid-tone burnt-red with Dior’s usual hidden micro-shimmer that is barely visible under bright light.
A tribute to Dior’s renowned illustrator, Ren? Gruau.
I’d call this a “mature” color. Gruau made me feel instantly polished.
Trafalgar 747
?A poppy-red creme with a slight orange tint. As per usual, it contains shimmer that I like to call “hidden micro-shimmer” as it is only, and barely, detectable under bright light, but adds depth to the cremes shades. I adore Dior’s attention to detail.
A tribute to Christian Dior’s red designs he sent down the runway.
Brightest and my favorite out of the three.
Ic?ne 862
Deep, red brown with barely-visible orange and pink shimmer.
A recalling of a nail polish called Rouge Icone, released in 1955.
My least favorite of the three.
The polish I was most excited for turned out to be a let-down. It’s definitely personal preference, but the color doesn’t thrill me like the other 2 shades in Les Rouges. When I?can?detect the bright pink and orange shimmer, they seem to clash with the red-brown base, which to me look old-fashion and not very flattering.
Les Rouges?collection is limited edition and ?no longer available for purchase. Keep an eye out, though:?Dior has recently promoted the collection on Facebook, which?might?mean they are bringing back the collection. Also, it might not hurt to give your local Dior boutique a call to see if they’re still available there.
